Mayweather vs Ortiz Update - According to trainer Freddie Roach Amir Khan will be ready to face Floyd Mayweather after just one more fight, Amir Khan's team are considering their next move after the 24-year-old defeated Zab Judah in the fifth round of their fight at the Mandalay Bay Events Centre, Las Vegas, Nevada. The Golden Boy promotions are thinking of lining him up for a blockbusting showdown with Floyd Mayweather Jr. next year, but for Khan’s Coach Freddie Roach he definitely believes it could happen sooner.
Freddie Roach stated "Mayweather isn't fighting until September (against Victor Ortiz), so I'd like to slip one more fight in there before then," Roach added "We will fight again in December and then maybe go for Mayweather."I'd really like for Amir to clean up at light-welterweight and unify those titles first, because that hasn't been done in a long time."
Considering Amir Khan was able to replicate on one of his finest victories by beating the veteran southpaw boxer Judah, A right uppercut to the body plunged Judah, and has unsuccessful to beat the count, and right after the American immediately declared he had been stunned by a low blow. But to his accusation he was just about the only person in attendance on that event claiming foul play and absolutely he had been well beaten by the hand speed and aggression of Khan on that event.
List of names being considered for his next opponent were Timothy Bradley, Erik Morales and Robert Guerro, but Khan is absolutely ready to face any of them.
And Khan said "I'll fight anyone and there are some big names out there for me. I'll take a look at the short list," and added "My aim is to move up the pound for pound rankings and to one day be pound for pound champion. I want to be the best fighter in the world."
