Marquez next after Mosley

If Floyd Mayweather Jr. is still not available, WBA/WBO lightweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez might be the next opponent of the 8-division world champion Manny Pacquiao after his fight with the 5-time world champion Sugar Shane Mosley.
This was the statement of Coach Freddie Roach after Top Rank promoter Bob Arum formally announced the Pacquiao vs. Mosley fight for the WBO welterweight title on May 7 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
According to Roach, he would want the idea of a re-match between Marquez and Pacquiao to prove to the critiques who believe that it was actually the Mexican who really won in the two fights against Pacquiao.
A draw decision was declared during the first fight of the two boxers while winner by a split decision in favor of Pacquiao during the rematch.
However, Roach doubts if Marquez stills wants to fight with Pacquiao because he is asking a very high prize, almost double than the prize that he received in his fight against Mayweather, Jr.
